Another Note on the 65 Soft Top Study

The rear bow weatherstrip on this `65 soft top has a series of ridges running lengthwise. I had never noticed this type before. You will notice the reproduction for comparison. So I checked my original `66 top, and it was like the reproduction w/s. So the question would be, what is correct for 63-64? Or, were both types used for any or all of the years?

Here is another original Mar64 top with ridge's
The top frame is also much closer to a gloss finish while the side frame pieces are much duller.

Looks like it may be that the ribbed style runs through 65 and maybe into 66 and the smooth style later. More examples needed.

attached picture shows and orginal (99+% sure) rear bow weatherstrip from a '65 AOS built at end of April. It does not have ribs on the weatherstrip. The top fabric was replaced and the drivers side small weatherstrip piece that's at the end of the bow strip (which I had a difficult time getting from the local Chevrolet dealer) in the early 70s. Otherwise untouched
