    1989 L98 Injectors

I have new set of #17121068 injectors. Will these injectors fit on my wifes 1989 L98? I was told they are for a LT1 motor at 22#. If so will I need an adjustable fuel regulator and runner gaskets? Also, what other part needed, I have a new fuel filter? Last, where do I go for quality parts?

I really appreciate your help, Bill

I can't find any record of GM #17121068. If this is a number taken off of the injectors, themselves, then it is not the SERVICE part number and, so far, I have not been able to identify it. It is a Rochester Products part number that dates from about the early 90's period.

Fuel injector SERVICE part numbers are for a KIT, which includes an injector + other parts. The SERVICE part number is found only on the box which the kit is supplied in.

A little more information: GM #17121068 was the injector supplied with injector KIT GM #17120254. This injector is applicable to 94-96 Corvette LT1 applications as well as some other LT1 applications. As far as whether it will work for an 89 L98, I could not say.

Bill Contact John Banner At Fuel Injection Components. He Is Located In Atlanta . The Phone # 770-888-1662. After I Got Stuck In Bloomington With My 1989 Callaway Twin Turbo , I Had To Replace The Injectors. John Was Very Helpful And His Price Was Half As Much As Ac Delcos Wholesale Price. He And His Sons Run The Business And He Should Be Able To Supply What You Need
        Good Luck

Ditto the remarks on Jon Banner. Also, be aware that if you are in an area that uses ethanol in the gasoline it will cause the injectors to short out and fail. My 1990 ZR-1 went through that last year and required a plenum pull (three times actually). Jon can set you up with the correct looking njectors or others that will not fail due to ethanol

Went on line and found these numbers: Injector #17121068 MP# MP3022 FI# 32-11124. Hope this helps! Will contact John Banner Friday, if I receive no replies from these numbers.

            Thanks, Bill
