A friend is looking for the flasher for the parking brake warning light for a 1960. It's a Tung-Sol 642. Is anyone repoping these or where can we get one? Thanks, Dallas

You might want ot contact the Vettegal (see http://vettegal.com/). She often has difficult to locate C1 parts (like this flasgher, or the emergency brake switch or the waterpump switch, etc.)

From what I understand, the 650 flasher is correct for the 58 to 60's. But are extremely hard to find and expensive. The 642 will work and are cheaper. I have a 642 in my 59 and paid $110 for it two years ago. One just sold on Ebay for about $60. Others will chime in if I'm incorrect.- Top

Dallas, do you have a non op flasher? If so, you may repair it by putting a straight wire behind it out of sight to provide full 'on' current and then put a 257 flasher bulb in the dash location to perform flashing duties.
