I got my grease gun out to grease the cars today. I couldn't find the points to grease in my assembly manual, but looked all under the car and found the ones on the steering and the clutch. I don't see any others, am I missing some (like U-joints) or not? Thanks for any tips.

Re: '66-'67 grease points
No fittings on the U-joints, guess that is correct and they haven't been replaced. Right, those ball joints, those suckers hide behind the wheels and splash shields in the engine compartment. Thanks.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: '66-'67 grease points
Joe, the acronym "CSM" used here by Duke and others actually stands for "Chassis Service Manual", which is the title of GM service manuals. In those days, the GM service manuals published by Helms, Inc covered ALL the Chevrolet car lines.
There was/is also a companion manual called "Chassis Overhaul Manual" which goes into greater detail for component overhaul.- Top

Re: '66-'67 grease points
Joe, the CSM is the first place I looked, but the diagram and lines disappearing under the schematic car as less than informative. I just wanted to be sure where to grease, sometimes a picture is not worth 25 words or less. This diagram also didn't show the PS ram grease point others have recommended greasing.Big Tanks In the High Mountains of New Mexico- Top

Re: '66-'67 grease points
Make sure the fittings are clean before you grease them. I was told that on the C4s, the only grease points were the upper and lower ball joints. All others were removed because premature failure happened when greasing a dirty fitting.Chris Enstrom
