What are the prerequisites for flight judging at regional and national meets, if any?

Does your car need to achieved a certain flight level at a chapter meet to enter a regional and to enter a National meet is regional status required?

Also are there any time constrains that would not allow the car to be judged at a Regional or National.

I am sure this is documented some where, but where?

Any body's help would be great.

No prequisite to judging for a Regional, 3rd Flight or better at any meet to be judged at the National.

The 'documentation' is in the NCRS publication 'NCRS Corvette Judging Reference Manual'. That book cites the rules of the road for owners AND judges, describes each of the club's award/recognition programs, and gives rules (Standard Deduction Tables) for how to score a number of components that are common to all Corvettes regardless of model year.

Essentially, the only 'bar' for Flight Judging a car relates to our National Convention. There, we require that the car was Flight Judged at least once before at either a Chapter or Regional meet.

Hypothetical then You have three years plus that part of the convention year.

National convention this year is in July 2010 so according to the Manual: "Cars applying to be judged at a National Convention must have achieved, within the Convention year or preceding three calendar years, a Third Flight or higher NCRS award under the ownership of the applicant...."

If I am reading this right my car would meet the prerequisite if it was awarded a third Flight or higher in January of 2007.

Is this a correct understanding?

That is correct. I had to get this clarified for a chapter member for this year's convention.
