    69 smog pump bracket

Does the smog pump bracket go behind the studded bolt on the water pump or on the stud? since I cant see attachment in the AIM I assume it was installed at Tonawanda and painted with the motor . Thanks for any help.

I don't recall that a flanged stud was used at the upper passenger side waterpump bolt position. However, whether or not it was, the AIR bracket leg is installed under the flange of the stud (or, under the head of the bolt).

      Brad

In 1968 and 1969 the A.I.R pump bracket was not attached with a flanged stud. It used a regular bolt. The flanged stud was used to attach the A.I.R brace on the opposite side of the water pump. See the attached photos.
