    New Guy

    Hello,
I just received my info packet in the mail and got all set up.

    My car is a 69 L46 convertible.
986 silver with 416 gun metal vinyl.
Original engine and trans (both have been rebuilt but all numbers are still present).
I have added a few options:
    hard top
    fender trim
    shoulder harness
    side exhaust
    power steering

The car is far from perfect but still a nice car, I've owned it for about 10 years.

I've been a member of other forums for many years and always searched out posts pertaining to original cars but these seem to be fewer and fewer.

Seeing older posts on this forum about original cars or trying to make cars more original put a smile on my face.
    I feel at home!!

I look forward to reading and learning more about these wonderful cars.
    Best regards,
    Steve

Welcome Steve. Sounds like you found a home. The forums tend to be distracting, if not sometimes insulting, to those of us who believe in originality or correct restoration. Your car sounds like it is worthy of the effort.

Chris, welcome to the club and the tech board. A 1969 L46 convertible is a great Corvette. As I sit at the computer and look out the window at the lake effect snow I envy you in California. Take a drive in your L46 for us cold midwesterners.

            Hi Steve,
I just joined recently as well, even tho I've belonged to NCRS since 1985 and have owned our '71 since 1978. This is a great place to find detailed info. I like keeping my car as "factory correct" as possible and this is the place to get answers to your questions.

Plus, it's a great site just to peruse from time to time!

            Best Regards,
            Randy C.

I'll drive with the top down today in honor of all the Corvettes tucked away for the winter!

              Thanks for the warm welcome.

                  Steven,

I have the same car except Yellow. I look forward to your posts. Please don't rub the cold weather in. In NJ we are getting up to 2 feet of snow tomorrow I can't wait to ride with the top down....

Welcome aboard Steve. I'm kinda new here myself but know that this is the best place to go for ANY Corvette information you could need. When you get a chance, get familiar with navigating the archives. There is a mass of already discussed issues there. Good luck and good to have you here. Mike

Welcome Steve, I had a 69 exactly like yours only differance was mine was Monza red. I learned alot on this board when it came to that car. Joe Lucia was great, he has one he bought new and can answer all your question's. Joe I hope I didn't through you under the bus so to speak. Tom

Welcome Steve. I treasure my memories of driving my 64 convertible in San Diego in the late 60's with the top down. I drove it everyday, it was the only car I had then.
