    Done! but what a PAIN!

that is the worst design ever! I can see why a lot of original shielding pieces got missing fast. Mine still had it's original but after pulling the intake bolts, re-torquing and have to have someone hold the brace so it wouldn't turn and make the shielding look crooked...I was ready to toss it myself!

    but it was worth it!

      Brandon,

Glad to hear you got this sorted. I can see how the AIM is cryptic on where to hook up the driver side valve covers.

I had to double check my motor based on this thread to make sure I did it right as well.

      Car looks great BTW!

I was wondering .......... I was told by an electrical engineer that stainless braid shielded plug wires are less effective due to the "eddy" currents generated. Is this true?

Thanks, but theres always something to think about haha. After I installed the bracket on the passenger side and clipped the wires in I wonder if I have it flipped the right way, I think I do.

Yanno, clipping these $160 wires into the holders which are also new and tight messes up the sheilding! if you take them out of the holders you can see where it messed up the braided sheilding.

O well, always something to tinker on with these cars but I did drive it a good hr from the house today and it did great!

the new wires, filters, and r45xls plugs got ride of the miss under load.
