i'm looking for a set of door sill plates. reproduction will work but i need a set that's just like the orignal ones. made a mistake and bought one set had to send them back found out they were made in china and the paint wasn't right

Jay, search the archives. At least for early C3's there are some threads on the subject. People were complaining of trouble with the screw holes on the reproductions not lining up with the holes in the door sill. I don't recall anyone offering who made a correct repop door sill plate.

I have a set of NOS ones if you're intrested. I bought 3 sets when I found them.

Would someone mind posting a pic of the door sill plates look like for a '69? I suspect that mine aren't original...

repros are close but the ridges are slighty different you have to have originals and repros both in hand and run your hand across them both and look really close for the difference.

Look in the archives. There is some good info. I rember looking it up some time ago. There are differences and there are pictures of the different ones for different years. I think the poster was Grant Wong.
