    Award confirmation?

Would someone please explain to me why judging sheets are not available with the Award document service offered by NCRS? I think the two documents should be vital especially for any owner purchasing a vette that has changed ownership from collector to collector, dealer, or novice purchaser. I am pleased to announce the latest Vette owner of the future Gabriel James Spatz born on Feb 11 of this year has endured his 2nd heart operation and will be coming home within the next two weeks to join his brother David age 3 and owner of 53 Vette pedal car as well as way too many hot wheels in the journey of life. God bless

    Re: Award confirmation?

    Hi Ted !!!

Glad the newest future Corvette owner is doing well and will be returning home soon.

    Now, for your question.

I don't know the real reason why sheets aren't available. Possibly since items of a car could have been changed since judging, options added, parts removed, etc. They would only be an indication of the cars condition on that given day. ( Basically the same as a Top Flight Award )

I guess I'm not even sure if NCRS retains judging sheets........... do they ? They can't share what they don't have.

My best to you and Gabriel.

Original judging sheets are returned to the car owner.

          Best regards,

National never had them in the first place.

With the ongoing (and well justified) dissatisfaction and misunderstanding of the award confirmation service, why not publish a complete explanation of what the money does and does not buy?

            Michael,
The intent was that National (who issues the Award Confirmation document) does not have the judging sheets considering that as Jimmy had stated, the originals are with the car owner. Perhaps I should have said "National is not provided the original or a copy of the judging sheets."
            Best regards,

Note that the actual judging sheets (or transcriptions of judging sheets) giving additional details of the car, it's configuration, options or condition are not available. These sheets were not retained by the NCRS but returned instead to the owner of the vehicle at the time.

This summary document will be in the form of a signed letter from the National Judging Chairman on official stationery with an imprint of the NCRS corporate seal.

The charge for this service is a flat fee of $300.00 and is payable irrespective of the number of records on file or absence of records.

                  Re: Award confirmation?

Thank you all for the kindness and prayers for Gabriel. Our 3 year old David (some of you might have seen him pushing his Wienermobile pedal car at Carlisle) tells it like it is. He climbed up on a chair adjacent to Gabriels hopital (his lingo) crib and with a gentle touch he said, Hi Gabriel, I am your brother David, You have a big boo boo and I have one too but you come home soon and play with cars, tractor, boat and doggie. Daddy has special covet blankie, and chockie milk! I had to share that with you guys, I hope it made you smile! Now back to the issue. I understand the judging sheets were given to the owners but if one undertakes the task of documenting their Vette it would be to confirm the legitimacy of their Vette and I realize that in the past there were many variables and as pointed out, how do you know what happened after an award? Hey guys is this not the reason there is a registry? No BS please! We are not talking about Chevy citations. NCRS is Corvette! My award confirmation is tucked under my Corvette Blankie and aside a few spelling errors, brings me great comfort in the knowledge that someone went thru alot of trouble to get that Duntov Award, and the cat finds comfort in the matching pillow cases. 973 876 1776 THANX AND GOD BLESS TED
