65 Intake Question

I have a 65 250HP coupe built Jan 65 and am trying to determine the correct intake manifold numbers. The intake on the car is 3866922 with a J274. Could this be the original intake as most other numbers are correct. If not, what number intake and date should I be looking for? Thanks for any information from a new member...............

Bill -- per the '65 Tech Manual and Judging Guide, yes, the 3866922*(with an asterisk) is considered an [acceptable alternate manifold]* (to 3844457) for judging purposes. By the way -- '65 owners are especially welcome .

Hi Bill
The date works as well.
It may seem a bit early, however, as the base engine manifolds were batched in larger numbers that some of the others, you should be good to go.
