lighter Light

I would like to know if a 67 April car should have a light in the lighter socket. I cannot find any trace of one in my 67 30,K Mile Survivor Car.
I did not buy it new, but have had it since 78 and have full history.
Can someone help on this, Please.

My late April car has one. All the 67's I have owned have had a light. Assembly Manual shows lighter and light in the Electrical Diagram.

It should have. Did it? That's always another story. It would be very difficult to document for judging that it didn't. My May car has always had one--and they're supposed to, but the manufacturing process was not foolprrof. Your decision is this: Do I leave it the way I THINK it was, or do I make it the way it was SUPPOSED to be? It's your call, because it's your car.

Yes, it should have the lighter lamp. See your '67 Assembly Manual, UPC 12, sheet B4, item #8 and "lamp socket" notation.
