    what is it?

    I see with some regularity on 1969 cars what appears to be a ballast resistor on the firewall. I've circled it in the pictures below I took from ebay. I don't see any illustrations of it in the AIM and my 69 does not have it.

    What is it's function? Is it an owner addition or original, a model year change, or based on an option?

    That is circuit breaker #4850166 for RPO A31 Power Windows. You can find it under that sheet in the AIM, page 301 I think.
