    Rectangle Port Intake Gaskets Recomendations

Any recommendations on 69 rectangle port intake gaskets?

I tried Felpro printoseals and they didn't work worth a hoot. The seem to be too thick so it made getting bolts in very difficult and then I couldn't seem to get them to seal. I went through two sets with no luck.

After that I bought a set which I think are Victor Reinz gaskets that were embossed. They sealed fine. I pulled the intake and the have what appears to be a VG logo and 15168 on them. Does any one know if they're Victor Reinz and still available?

    Thanks again,

    Ted

A "VG" logo does indicate a Victor Gasket. Once-upon-a-time, most GM gaskets were manufactured by Victor (Now Victor-Reinz), Detroit Gasket (now Corteco), and McCord (I think now gone). ALL original GM intake manifold gaskets were of the embossed type. This is the only type I like to use, but they are getting difficult to find, having been replaced by newer and "better" gaskets.

One place I know to get them, though, is the reproduction gasket set offered by Paragon. This not only provides the original type, embossed gaskets but also the correct configuration for judging purposes.
