    Horn Rebuild

    I need information about where to get horns rebuilt for a 62
    I had some done years ago by a man in New York but have lost his name and number.

      joe perri in chicago does well. ron gorlaski is great but has run low on parts for C1's.

          I second Joe Perri. He did mine and did a wonderful job. He's not inexpensive though.

              Ron Goralski did mine after I found a pair of 63 Pontiac ones that worked and he used some of the parts. Outstanding job! (410)987-1948

                  Your probably referring to Dennis Portka in Hamburg, NY 716-649-0921. He does a great job but I think he is back logged 14 weeks.

                      Joe,

                      About a week ago I sent my 1965 horns to Dennis Portka in Hamburg NY. At the time he was 8 weeks out. In speaking with him last Friday he is about 12-14 weeks out. His description of his service is why I chose him to make repairs. I dont know if he repairs horns prior to 1964, so here is his number to call (716) 649-0921. I had a great conversation with him and found that he offers other services too.

                          I had Gary Steinkellner at The Horn Works (608) 361-0095 in Wisconsin rebuild my horns from my 68. Did a great job and had them back in just over two weeks.

                          I would recommend you give Gary a call. He has a web page as well.

                              I used Joe Perri out of Chicago, Excellent workmanship and 3-4 week turn around. That was last fall.

                                  I choose The Horns Works as well. I'm sure the other two aformentioned do nice work however there are others out there that supply the same service.....many times for the less $$$. http://www.classiccarhorns.com/. The Horn Works web site.

                                      He does 1953 to 1974 Delco horns. I can't imagine anyone does them better. I don't know how his prices compare, but seemed fair to me.
