    C2 Amp Gauge Reading

The amp gauge needle in my '66 shows a steady reading on the positive side hash mark, at all times, and does not flicker when I apply the directional signal, open the headlight buckets, etc. I thought when dring the car, the needle should show a reading slightly right of the dead center mark, and should flicker when applying an accessory. Any thoughts, thanks.

What does it show when operating the headlamps with the engine off?
