C1 Tach drive versus PS drive unit

I have incorrect generator for my 1960 restoration project. It is a 1102115, which I believe was a 57 passenger car with power steering drive unit. I do plan to try and get a correct generator, the 1102043.

Is there a difference in the PS drive unit and the Tach drive unit? Can I use the PS drive unit off the back of the 1102115 generator on a 1102043 generator to drive the Tach?

i believe the armature from a PS generator same as armature from a tack drive generator so you should be able to bolt the tack drive assembly to the back of a generator equipped with the PS/TD armature.mike

Thanks Mike. I Have seen other references that the armatures are the same. So I am fairly confident that the PS drive unit will mount OK. I was more wondering if it would drive the tach OK and accurately. If the PS and Tach drive units are geared the same?
