Judging a non OEM windsheild C3

With a replacement windsheild in my 72 I am looking at a mim. of 10 pts. What do the Judges look at when it comes to the shaded area and the tint for correctness.I know that like the mid years there is not a correct reporduction made for the shaded area.Is the C3 the same?

Ed,

The aftermarket LOF replacements have a upper color band that is to fat at the outer edge and to skinny in the center.
The originals, this upper band was more uniformally thick from end to end.

Also - the ASI script is usually not correct, a little smuggy or to thick etc...

72 also calls for Flo-Lite, the repros will come with Safety-Plate. I asked for Flo-Lite but was told that Safety-Plate was the only way I was going to get it.

Bill I think I am okay with the shaded area, mine is one thick band, the asi script is wrong in color and size.I guess I will see what happens at the chapter meet. (first time)

Ed,

You will also be missing the LOF logo and date codes in the DVR lower corner - if the replacement is not a reproduction LOF.

I am not sure - but I think you will get a pretty decent "ding" on points.
