I have recently contacted more of the previous owners of my brother's car. One was the dealer in Knoxville, TN that sold the car to him. Byron Cooper of Cooper Corvettes couldn't seem to recall the car even with the wild story of having sold a donor car to American Corvette Services to patch it back together. He was very accomadating and talked with me willingly but didn't seem to recall much about it. I also tried to contact Gene Tucker of Corvette Classics in Macon, GA about the car. Byron Cooper said Gene was still in the business as he had contacted him many times in the past. I called his business and personal phone lines and got an answering machine in both cases. I left detailed messages and asked him to return my calls. I am in hopes that he will call me as he seems to be the dealer that changed the car from a FI car back to the original carbureted car. I also heard back from the Florida Dept. of Motor Vehicles that cashed my $1 check. They do not keep records beyond 10 years so the could not help me any. I wonder what happens to those records? Are they destroyed or what? The search continues!
