69 underbody bracket finishes

What is the correct finishes for the seat and seat belt brackets? My seat belt brackets appear to be zinc . The rear seat brackets appear natural and the shoulder belt brackets I cant tell. Any help is appreciated.

Brad the seat belt bracket in the drive shaft tunnel is a silver finish but have seen a black finish. The majority have been silver whether zinc, cad or what ever process was used. The seat mount bracket outboard rear have seen both black paint and natural finish majority natural. The forward seat mount bracket painted black. The shoulder belt bracket painted black but have seen some that were natural majority black. Paul 18046

Paul , all 3 of my seat belt brackets show signs of silver plating on the back side but the shoulder belt bracket doesn't have any signs of any coating

All of mine were painted black no sign of plating March 69 build date.

Brad have not seen that on any original car that I have judges or looked at. But I can't say that your is wrong take photos of the brackets and document were they were on the car. I am of the belief that we should restore the car per what the car is telling us on disassemble not by what other cars or the judging guide tell us that's just my opinion. Paul 18046
