Loose, dangling ground wire under dash

I have a 69 coupe and I've got the dash apart. Attached to one the screws holding the radio convector to the cross brace is a black gound wire which has the other end stripped and is just hanging from its attachment. It's ~18 to 20 inches long so it has a long reach.

Any idea what and where this gound attaches to?????

    Thanks,

    Don

    Don,

My convector did not have a ground wire conected to it.

Hi Joe…this is attached to the metal bar on the passage side behind the console. I think I’ve heard there is a ground that goes to the bezel or the wiper switch…thanks for any help…Don
