Got the original hood on my 58 now, several people want the high rise I took off?

I put the hood on the c1 parts section on another forum and received 7 PM's wanting the hood..why? is a c1 high rise something hard to come by or something?

this one was on it when the 2nd owner bought the car in 1975. Looks ok but I perfer original.

Anyway was just blown away after 1 day with it on the forum for sale 7 people are wanting it.

Could be they're doing "vintage" race cars.

Either way it could be good for your restoration budget!

I agree with Tom.Also when you figure in that your ad has no price.People are more interested until they find out actually what it will cost them.And even less after you post pictures of what you are describing

Also, for some reason, exotic hoods are prime swap-meet booth attention getters.
I've been "swap meeting" for coming up on 40 years. Hoods are a draw card, which will grab people's attention....
We're just getting into swap meet season........

Thanks for asking.
The machine work is done as is the plumbing.
We are waiting on the computer and wiring.
I hope to have it within a week.
Actually the hood that posted is the one I am going to cut for the injector stacks.
I'll post something when it all comes together.

The weather here (Middletown, Ohio) has been cold for a long time, but finally we will see 70s this week. Just got back from Corvette Expo in Knoxville, TN where the weather was warmer but rain as usual.

less after my pictures? what you didn't like the paint? lol that is easy to change yanno I actually got a total of 9 pm's 3 more after the pictures were posted, the L88 hoodi s desired so not sure what you meant by what you said.

How much did you get for the L88 hood?
If they are bring good money I'll sell mine and get another old Corvette hood. There are lots of them out there that have holes cut in them.

I was offered 400 and I took it mine had no holes it was in great cond. Just ugly brown paint on it!

he paid shipping too..I thought it was a good deal. maybe not though because it went fast.

Here is a photo of my cowel induction hood that I purchased for my 59. I wan't planning to buy this hood, but when I went to buy a used hard top rack the owner showed me the hood and I thought it looked cool.
The blue masking tape simulates the graphics on the cowel of Reggie Jackson's 69 LSX Camaro.
