It is my opinion all four brake hoses should be judged on 1968 through 1972 model years and that a minimal deduction should be indicated for any hose(s) that are not as originally installed.

Old Rochester fuel injections from 57 to 65 use a variety of rubber hoses on them. Thin wall, etc. I buy a ton of hose in bulk. Most of it has ugly logos all over it, numbers, etc.
If I were to leave it as is I do think the nice judges would go ding ding.
Some of the printing is rather hard to remove. I go to Lowe's and buy cheap lacquer thinner and use it to remove the awful lettering that would otherwise ruin my state of the art restorations.
My 63, the LWC has unsafe brake hoses on it. It has old old NOS single crimp hoses. Why you ask would I do that.? Only because the car is not licensed and is a trailer queen. Now if I were to drive it I would put on double crimped. Better to be safe than sorry. JD
