    T-Top Mount

Plate #3947909-10 AIM UPC 1 SHT F12. Should the plate flush or surface mount to the body. My car has a recession, that starts in the center of the plate, to the bottom.

    Thanks Bob

As I recall, the depression is quite subtle and is molded into the halo fiberglass.

My conclusion when I noted the depression was there was a slight backward angle to the fiberglass, and the depression allowed the plate to be closer to vertical, presumably to minimize chance of interference with the stationary lock when the T-top was removed and replaced.

The stationary lock has quite a bit of adjustment built into the design, but IIRC, all of the adjustment travel is within the depression. The correct position of the stationary lock is the one that gives you the closest match of the T-top surface to the halo surface.

      Hi Bob,
I agree with Chuck, the depression is very subtle and is really just across the bottom and 1/2 way up the inner side of the plate.
You can see in the picture the chrome reveal is constant on the outer side of the plate because there is no depression there.
      Regards,
      Alan
