I need to get some shots and will put that on my 'To Do' list. I am sure there is someone on this board that would understand, specifically, the one or two letter codes seen on some original cars. I have not taken the time to really look at them to get dimensions, spacing, etc. I do have a friend/restorer who is making me a stamp and I will probably pick it up at Bloomington Gold. I purchased a set of hoses from Doc Rebuild and will apply the codes(s) when I've done more research.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in.

    Regards,

    Mark

    Good stuff!

I have the plain hoses with ribs (actually grooves, I believe) and would be most appreciative of a photo that shows an original alpha code. I plan to have a stamp made myself and want the photo as a model.

Thanks again. I'll await a photo of any original, when it's convenient.

Before dashing off having a stamp made it might be wise to do some research. For example:

Are C60 and non-C60 different codes?
      Are SB different than BB?
Just look at all the permutations and combinations in the radiator/expansion tank chart and imagine a different alpha code for each and you will begin to understand what you may be looking for.

If you are going through the trouble to have a stamp made, it would be prudent to be sure it is accurate for your configuration. Of course, if you know the code for your configuration -- please share it with us.

Thanks Terry, and of course I will do as much research as I can. Any input from this group will be most valuable.

This feels like a great project, as it seems to be one of those subjects that has room to swim in the deep end. Too little looks to be known, and alot of apparent interest...
