Re: Searching for 1963 Rocker Covers

Problem with NOS rocker moldings is the length of them is very inconsistent. Various lengths with 1/4" plus variation as I recall. I remember when we were re-restoring my 63 I had the luxury of having 5 NOS moldings. Length varied and was very frustrating trying for perfection. Problem was most of the ones I had were too short conpared to the original.

Another problem with the NOS rocker moldings is they are just service replacements. The ends are not configured like the ones that came on the cars when new.
Bob Gregory, a 63 guru, taught me this info and pointed it out to me on my '63 at Marlborough. John

Not nice to make fun of 98.6 car Hugh Ray. Back to work. See you at Carlisle.

John, You know I'm only ribbing you cause I'm jealous of the LWC! Its a wonderful restoration and top flight all the way. Enjoyed our conversation last evening about FI and comments on the board. Looking forward to seeing you again but it wont be at Carlisle. Too many empty spaces and I dont sell hats, mats or T-shirts for the C-5 thru C-7 crowd. We're gettin too old to travel 2000 miles and a trailer following!
