If anyone out there has a 65 FI car serial# '20896 a pal of mine named FI Art can put a smile on your face.
ID tag reads 7017380 3124. Real deal never been messed with plenum.
Truthfully that's a pretty high number of a 65 for an FI unit. I should reword that statement and say it's just a high number in my mind as I know others exist in this time frame. Jim of course knows more about this than anyone.
Jim Gessner reportedly just put this info on his survey.
Your thoughts Jim?
If would be a sin to remove the serial number from the plenum so it could be used on another 65 resto.
I will try for the next 12 months to find the car this part belongs on. After that the number is history.
Hopefully Jim and others can help.
THe "hit" on the side of the plenum reads: 5120896. One thing quite unique about the stamping is that it's pristine. Looks like it belongs in a museum. Quite unlike a lot of others I see.
It's not a fake. JD
