57 hood latch relase handle assembly

I have checked past threads on this subject, i just have to clarify one thing. How do you prevent the handle from rotating. The plastic bushing with keyway rotates. THe front chrome piece is notched but i don't see where the plastic piece engages the outer chrome piece? Any idea's on how to fix this?

Chris, there was a recently article in the restorer, last year on the fix for this problem. it does involve removing the release, and taking apart.
