The upside down valve cover on the right side is a nice touch.

I want to know what he means when he says, "car has been hung"....then again, maybe I don't.

That's why I would never buy any Corvette in Florida...the East Coast's version of fruit and nut land. Seriously. PT

And did you check out the gas cap? Aren't '63 to '69 caps supposed to be vented? So many things wrong. It's a shame.

I thought they might have a 67 "split window 454" for sale too.

Bucket seats? Darn I was looking for one with a bench seat, guess I'll have to pass.

BTW, there IS a metal body Corvette! The XP-987 is alive and well in the collection of Tom Falconer, UK Chapter Judging Chairman.

This experimental prototype had a hand built Italian made Pininfarini steel body and featured a GM, dual rotor, mid-mounted, ****el engine as its power plant. If you're familiar with '70-72 Shark cars, the seats and dash instrumentation will make you feel right at home!

There's also the XP-895 Reynolds Aluminum Corvette, but this one on ebay is a metal midyear. I did notice the high redline tach on it, so maybe it was a fuelie.

This one makes me laugh, then cry. What a sad car this is! What kind of yoyo would completely screw up a car like this? The stuck-on racing style pedals don't even fit and the notice that the brake pedal one is slipping off.

I think that this car was left out in the rain a lot with its top down or has a serious windshield or ragtop leak. The footwell carpeting looks, to me, like it is water-damaged.

I guess that this one just makes the right ones more valuable. -Clark

This really is a WOW. Even for a female buyer the upside-down valve covers should be a dead give-away that something stinks. Hope it did not sell!

The car sold for almost 40K. That's for a 1964. All I can guess is that someone looked at that high horse tach and fuel injection emblem and concluded it was a fuelie. Any experts out there who can recognize other signs of a fuelie there in that vehicle? If someone had spent a few hundred dollars on valve covers and air cleaner, they could have sold it for more.

This reminds me of the Johnny Cash song (one piece at a time)

The car is re-listed, it now has a 64 VIN.

The are no holes for the air cleaner (probably too difficult to drill in the cast iron body) , so the fuel injection emblems, while a nice touch, are probably pasted on the fenders with Elmer's.

Zora is likely spinning like a top....

I'm reading it now and there was one offer of $13K, which was declined and the auction is over. I don't think it was sold.
