finish for nuts on steering gear box to frame bolts

This is for a 73. I suspect it is zinc for the nuts and lockwasher. The bolts are black phosphate.

    I just wanted to check.

Both the GM #103026 nut and GM #103320 split lockwasher had a PLAIN finish, meaning they were natural, un-plated steel.

GM# 103026 nut, is their anything special, or just a typical 3/8-24 nut. I purchased a reproduction set, that had nuts that were double the width of a typical nut.

GM says the 103026 nut was 21/64" thick.

I'll verify the 21/64" tonight since I have the originals that I just cleaned.
