    70 alternator connections hardware

I have an elastic stop nut/vibration proof nut for the positive connection. Does this sound like the correct nut? It was the nut I removed. However, the alternator had been changed.

Does the thin screw for the negative connection have any head marking?

I am installing the restored original alternator.

    Thanks! Bill

The nut used for the alternator positive connection was a #12-24, 5/32" thick standard hex nut of GM #284M material grade and zinc plated. The lockwasher, which installs under the terminal, is an external tooth star washer.
