On 4-19 I posted a problem of the engine quitting suddenly after warm up of approximately 15 mins. I checked my grounds, checked the plug wires, and plugged the heat x-over in the intake manifold; all to no avail. Then, as Mr. Barbieri suggested, I removed my NEW coil and replaced it. Started, warmed up and ran at idle for 20 mins: no shut down. Went to get gas and took the long way home with no problems. Just to make sure, I let the engine cool, then re-installed the offending coil and repeated the idle routine. Sure enough after about 12 mins. the engine quit. Now I need to dig up the receipt for the coil.
Thanks everyone.
It was a good exercise, because I had been intending for a good while to block the heat x-over.
