Our Corvette club did the driver intros at the race last night. What a blast!!! I had Robby Gordon. Nice guy and he even complimented the car. We had to hook up a few of the 60's with the old water bottle on the over flow tube trick, but all went well.

Re: Richmond NASCAR race
I don't think it is as much cutting back, as giving the "club" the opportunity to get involved and "show off" their cars. I have been to races since the bankruptcy and they still have "new" cars for driver intros at the majority of the races. It looks like it was a great chance to meet and greet some of the drivers, and I commend the race promoters for offering the opportunity to the Corvette guys. Jeff, looks like you had a great time, THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I too, think Robby Gordon is a "nice" guy and a real racer. I would love to see him win a few more races.

Re: Richmond NASCAR race
I agree about the opportunity to show off the cars. It was really nice hearing all of the fans ask what year it was or make a comment about the car. I loved where a guy asked me what year it was, I told him and his girlfriend punched him and said "I told you". Course, she was probably more sober and saw that my plates were 1972 Virginia plates!!!- Top
