I honestly don't know whether I am being "too picky" or not so I'm going to throw it all out to you to chime in !
Don't hold back, be honest ! I can take it. It will either re-affirm my belief that customer satisfaction is no longer something many subscribe to or jolt me back to reality - either way I welcome your comments.
I am going to refrain from providing any "vendor" details as I am waiting to hear back from their "Customer Service" staff on how they are planning to handle this. I think that is only fair as I believe well-run businesses are not immune to mistakes and should have an opportunity to make the customer happy if a problem is brought to their attention before their good name is besmurched!
A long story short - I purchased a reproduction quartz clock from a well known Corvette "parts" store. The first one I received had the silk-screened outline of the clock face noticeably off-center from the raised imprint that it should have been aligned with. I called and advised them of this atrocity and told them this simply would not do. They promised to hand select a perfect one and send out the replacement immediately.
This is what I got in the mail today .
And trust me....the photo does not do the "crookedness" justice !
