    Wiper motor wire

Hello all. If someone has a wiper motor for an early C-3 out of the car, could you post a picture of the red wire and connector on the end of the red wire coming out of the motor. I need to confirm the configuration of the connector and the length of the wire. Thanks!

      Hi Jeff,
      Nice to talk to you!
Here's some pictures from my 71. The wire is 2 1/4" long from the case to the point it enters the connector.
      Hope this helps you.
      Regards,
      Alan

So how many Bowtie parts are you removing?

            Kevin & Alan:
Thanks very much for the pictures! That is exactly what I needed to know. Patrick:
Not to worry. I am NOT removing the original wiper motor or washer pump from my '69!!! I have another motor that someone cut the red wire and discarded the plug and with the shielding, etc. in the way I could not get a good look at the original fittings. That is why I asked for someone who had one "on the bench" to send a picture. Thanks again to all!

Another Wiper Motor Question. Is There A Source For A Rebuild Kit For The Washer System Mounted On The Motor.

The only kits available are for the valves on the passenger side. I don't think any of the internals of the pump are available. Complete pumps are availble from many sources. In fact hard to find '69 assemblies and 5 port units are available in reproduction.

                  Hi Jerry,
There was an article in the CORVETTE RESTORER a few years back about rebuilding the washer pump written by Bob Cook. I don't know just what problems you're having but perhaps it might help. If you send me your e-mail address I'll be glad to send it to you.

                    Re: Wiper motor wire

Regarding the question about the wiper/washer motor transmission and washer gearing rebuild, there is an ad in the Driveline from a couple of issues ago for a company that does the rebuilds. Unfortunately I'm flying this week and can't give you the name of the company. I've spoken to them and they seem to know what they are talking about.
