    1955 emergency brake flasher switch

I am trying to figure out how to mount the parking brake flasher switch to emergency brake. It appears that it should be mounted with the finger contacting the ratchet groves in the handle rod. But there is no precise way to have it close for contact to the flasher when brake is on and open when brake is released. Does anyone have a picture of this assembly mounted that I could see as a reference?

The switch should be adjusted so the tab on the brake arm pushes against the switch lever thus making contact for the jewel. The tab is your contact not the groves. The groves are the lock mech to set the brake. Poor design but will operate properly for a while

      Al -

There should be a pin pressed into a hole at the 12 o'clock position near the forward end of the rod; it sticks up above the rod and operates the arm on the switch.
