Would their be any good DVDS or books recomended that describe in detail how to fix paint chips . I have tried but have not mastered the technique. Their are a lot of threads about parts not to many about repairs done. Thanks in advance.

Re: Repairing paint chips ?
this is my favorite article and technique (works well on original paint as well as most clear coat multi-stage paints other than the clear coat on newer German cars that don't take well to sanding):
I don't bother with the primer part, but it describes a good way of applying touch up (using a toothpick as the applicator), to build up the chip layer by layer, then smoothing the result by block sanding. Patience is a virtue, and if you've got a daily driver to practice on, so much the better. The sanding is what makes the chip repair as close to invisible as possible when you're done. You should try an inconspicuous spot below the "grit line" to see if the surrounding paint will block sand without leaving a lot of surface scratches (I cannot use this technique on my Porsches for that reason--the clear coat is too soft and the surrounding area is a world of fine scratches).
If you don't want to build the repair up high and block sand it down flush, stop when the chip is almost level with the surface and polish it a bit.
The only other way I know of to get a relatively invisible chip repair is to seek out a professional. Most dealers have pros that can air brush chips and make them virtually imperceptible.- Top

Re: Repairing paint chips ?
Thanks guys. Will look at the info given and give it a try. Today I am getting my car back from the engine shop. They are braking it in. I guess they have to get it to a certain temperature then shut it off and do it again for the cams. 327 365 solid lifter cams. Then off to the alignment shop .
I replaced frame over the winter and rear trailing arms to disk. Hope to be able to drive car over this weekend if weather is good.
