    wonderbar question

Is it possible to convert a 61/62 Wonderbar Radio to a 59 version?
Is it difficult? Should I even attempt it or leave it alone?
    Thanks.

a 61 will convert and look good, 62 moved some capacitors and stuff around, while it will work, it won't look correct

Replace the knob set, change the push buttons to flat leading edges, change the color of the push bar lettering to white if appropriate for your 59 build date and trim color (probably not necessary unless it's very early). And, if the filter cap and inductors are on the back (as Doug mentioned), expect to lose points if being judged after making the changes.

Thanks for the info. Now all I have to worry about is having UPS deliver it without them driving over it first.

Oh most painful of memories... but a great collectible momento; fork lift peel out tracks on a shipping box. And what a potential sales novelty idea Stephen - new boxes with tire tracks pre-printed on all sides. Much better protection than stickers saying Fragile.

[Hey Paul Bougie, did you keep that shipping box?]

I had a UPS drive a forklift through a computer/box. Should have kept box and computer, the hole was shaped exactly like one of the forklift forks.

I thought you were referring to an older post Stephen. Paul and I share your pain! Aren't the shippers claims departments amazingly supportive... (not)

Here's hoping they miss your package with the prongs and the tires.
