Does this C1 winshield seal look correct?

I put the frame around my new windshield this afternoon and my concern is the corners at the bottom of the seal. The area of the seal that overlaps the dash pad is wavy (see attached photo). I am assuming that when the winshield is installed on the car and it sits in the sun for a while this will lay down but I am looking for comfort from those who have done this before.
I have not pulled the end posts in tight and tightend the screws yet. I want to make sure I am on the right track. Thanks - Sully

the wrickles will flatten out somewhat when in the sun , but its been my experience the repo's don't lay as flat as NOS seals(which are hard to come by)mike

I just finished a 62 and had the same situation with the windshield seal.
The wrinkles were as bad or worse and I used a heat gun and they all smoothed out with no wrinkles showing and still look good two months later. Be careful with a heat gun and keep it mooving as not to burn the seal.

Also if you can pull some slack toward the post you might straighten the wrinkle out. Brad.

I've never had much luck with repo windshield weatherstrips. In general the NOS GM part fits much much better. The down side of the NOS part is that it doesn't take long before it starts to crack on the outside edges. Must be the ozone. Rich
