FRUSTRATING - No one works on Corvettes!!!!!!!

This is unbelieveable. I have some collision work to do on my front end and there is no one that wants to work on it. I cannot get anyone in South Florida to work on my car. I am sorry to just vent here. I had another thread posted where many of you helped out but most of these places are far away. I will keep trying but I am just so depressed.

alot of places don't want to do it because they don't have the abilaty to.
I'm suprised that no one in this economy wants to take on work .

LOOK It takes a special shop that works on classic cars. Most shops want the Earle Shive 59.95 any car any color repair. most have low balled a Quote & found that Corvette owners want correct parts & the paint to match. Some Insurances Co. will not pay to do a classic car right. Call a quality resto shop & you will be happy. You get what you pay for.

I hear you guys. Well, I have Hagerty's and I must say that they are awesome. They are going to pay to fix it to orignial condition. I am super impressed with them. I just cant find anyone to fix it. That is the frustrating part.

Have you tried to contact the local Chapter for information as too where they take their cars or I guess you could also try some of the larger new or used dealers in your area? Good luck.

Peter, you may feel rushed to get the car fixed, I would travel a few hundred miles if I had to, you don't want just anyone doing fiberglass work,most body shops today don't do resto work, they want the quick bucks, as in front collisions. as Rich says your going to want a resto shop that works with fiberglass, It is a art so to speak, and there are some hackers out there, interveiw the shops owner and ask them there about there experience with corvettes.tell them the kind of paint job you are looking for and if your car is already a top flite car I'm sure you would like to keep it that way as close as possiable.

Peter what part of South Florida are you talking about? I know corvette shops from Jupiter to Miami on the east coast.

I don't know where you are in South Florida but Eismann's Corvette Center in Jupiter is one of the best in the State. They have done work on every Corvette I've owned since the very early 1980's.

Peter, Try living in Australia with your Corvette. An Australian chapter NCRS member sent his car back to the states for crash repair. This post may not make you feel too much better, but it looks like the last two posts are pointing you to a reliable repairman. All the best in getting your car back soon.
