What's the length from the seat to the "add" mark and from the seat to the "full" mark?

To be sure of the measurements needed where exactly is the seat?

As I say, I'm not sure exactly what GM considers to be the seat. However, I use the bottom of the bell-shaped cap just above the black rubber seal. The dipstick tube seats within the rubber seal just about at the level of the bottom of the bell. So, intuitively, that seems like it would be the seat to me. But, it may not be the seat that GM uses as the reference point.

It's 20-3/8" to the add mark and 19-5/8" to the full mark.

What this is is a passenger car dipstick of GM #3928900 or a Chevelle/Camaro/Chevy II dipstick of either GM #3925599 or GM #3989391. All of these dipsticks have measurements that are so close it's hard to say which one it is. However, what it's not is a Corvette dipstick.

All of the above are designed for use on 4 quart oil pans and require tube GM #3928901 to be accurate.
