C1 front suspension wear

On a C1 front suspension is there any way to determine whether the upper inner and lower inner shafts are worn and need replacing? I notice one vendor supplies just the bushings in one of their kits and wonder if it's possible the shafts are hard enough to survive 100K miles, or should I assume if I have wear, both the shaft and the bushing have worn?

If you support the
lower control arms out near the backing plate, you can check for wear in upper inner bushings,upper outer bushings,lower outer bushings, kingpins,tie rod ends..Just have some one shake the wheel in all directions while you watch all of the above areas for excess movement(play). The lower inners are not easy to check because they are loaded by the coil spring at all times.. I replace everthing when I restore the solid axle cars, because many times they were not lubed enough, and wear is very common.

When you say you replace everything on a solid axle restore, can you list what you include? I'm in the same situation with a 1960 project. I was planning to replace bushings and king pins. What else do you replace?
