I Am In The Final Stages Of Restoring My 65 Roadster And Am Encountering Gremlins In The Head Lights. When I Turn On The Brights, I Have Four Bright Lights But When I Turn On The Running Lights I Have Four Dim Ones. All The Harnes Wires And Connections Have Been Checked And Are Ok. It Appears That The Fault Lies In The Lamps Themselves. Has Anyone Else Encountered This Problem? Thanks In Advance P.S. THE LAMPS ARE AFTER MARKET REPLACEMENTS

Re: Head Light Problem
Check the wiring of the pigtails. I believe you have the ground on the wrong pin. This results in placing the filaments in series: thus all four filaments are lit and are dim. The wiring diagram is wrong in this area.
Looking into the bulb determine which pole is common to both filaments. This is the ground pole.- Top

I agree with Stephen.

A certain manufacturer makes the extension harnesses in accordance with the incorrect wiring diagram. If your headlight extensions are labeled "left" and "right" then you need to correct the problem. They should both be the same.- Top
