    Shipping weight for 71 LS-6

I'm trying to find the correct shipping weight for the LS-6. 3,527 pounds for the 1972 LS-5 is about as close as I can come. Thanks for any help.

Shipping weight for a 1971 Corvette coupe is 3202 lbs. Add 82 lbs for LS6 option. My white LS6 coupe weighed in at 3340 lbs.

Options such as coupe or convertible, manual or automatic transmission, power steering, brakes and windows are all variables. The front pages of most AIMs have figures for all these permutations and more.

My '71 LS5 Coupe has a registration weight of 3242.
I never put it on a scale though.

            Ken,

When I weighed mine, I had run the fuel so low that the filter sock was damn near completely uncovered, I was running on fumes to say the least, I also had 5 original Goodyear F70 x 15 tires on the car. I would be interested to know what your certified weight would be on your car. I was not in my car when I had it weighed.

            My car was optioned with C50, J50, N37, N40, PU9 & U69.
