OK Spark Plug Tester

Does anyone recommend the "OK Spark Plug Tester" diagnostic tool. I have had quite a bit of problems with the repro spark wires on my C2 and would like to make sure all wires are OK because they are so prone to failure. Would it be better to just check the resistance ? Is there a good source to determine the correct resistance per wire. They were really hard to thread them through the banana shaped ignition shielding so I want to test them in place.

I think it would be best to check the resistance. Look in archives for resistance values, I think something like 5000ohm/ft but I can't remember exactly.
