    1959 Corvette Stingray Racer

Does anyone know which manufacturer supplied the exterior mirrors and white instrument gauges?
    Rich

Bill Mitchell loved Corvettes, so its fitting that his first secret Studio X car, and perhaps the most historically significant, was his 1959 Corvette...

    Richard -

The mirrors were most likely from Talbot or Raydyot.

Thanks John......I thought there was a "R" when I magnified the photo. I can't however make out the "Made IN ??????" stamp. It appears to be "England".

      Thanks,
      Rich
edit: I just found this site. It looks like the 686/687 mirror.

Tach is Sun, likely the two piece unit, the speedo is Stewart Warner, and I believe the small guages were made by National Guage.

Thanks Dick, Hmmm, maybe I'm mistaken but the tach looks like a stock tach used on the Corvettes of the era. Yes the speedometer looks like a SW.

The tach appears to be stock era, the speedo, for sure, has the SW logo on the bottom of the face.

I believe that you are right Rich, I am not very familiar with the stock tach, it just had the appearance of a Sun
