    Yellow weatherstip adhesive

OK, so after being dinged for a way too neat adhesive job (no yellow visible), I am wondering how sloppy and far away from the weatherstrip the yellow adhesive needs to be on the doors and hood. Any slop guidelines? Thanks for any help.

I'd leave it neat and take the deduct. that's what I did.

OMG, see what you mean, I don't want that kind of mess on the car. Maybe I'll just drive a few miles further to the judging.

        Michael,

Don't know one needs to go the extreme shown. Believe you stated "too neat adhesive job (no yellow visible)." By using 3M yellow glue and showing a minimal amount of glue around the w/s should fare nicely with the judges. Doesn't have to be as sloppy as the images show but some glue will need to be seen. Can post images of my car if needed.

OK, maybe use a small paint brush and streak some around the outside edges. That wouldn't look too bad. I could then rub it off after the next flight judging before I take it to car shows. I am really looking forward to finishing the flight judging sequences so I can put practical parts and equipment back on so I can enjoy driving it!

I agree leave it neat and takie the deduct. I have all mine done except the pillars and have little to none slopped on. That is the way mine is going to stay. Tom

the deduct for no slop is minimal. do it such that it pleases you. mike
