I am researching for the repair of the 4+3 unit of my '86 and came across your post. Would you mind e-mailing me your instructions with photos?

When it stopped working apx. 10 or more years ago, my mechanic told me that everything inside was broken apart and took it all out. I still have the unit hooked up and have driven it as a 4-speed every since. I want to get it working again as the car only has 32K miles on it and is in excellent shape. Unfortunately, I think the unit is totally empty and I will have to order all the parts.

I appreciate any help you may offer.

    Thanks!
