    Roy,

You don't need the install tube for new bushings.

    1) Just wipe a little wheel bearing grease on the inner and outer case of the bushing.

    2) Start a bushing on one end of the control arm, then insert the shaft into this bushing

    3) Start the other bushing on the opposite side and get the shaft started into that bushing.

    4) Start bumping the bushings into place with a rubber mallet. Alternate the bushing you are bumping until they are both home.

It's best to do this with the control arm shaft perpendicular to the work bench. When finished, you should be able to rotate the control arm shaft without too much effort. The grease is the key here. Don't get carried away with too much, but don't try it without it either.

Roy, car looks great, really like that color, is the darker blue a base coat before the trophy blue?or the color it was before painting . as Tracy say a mallet and if you have a 1/2 drive socket that is about the same outter diameter of the bushing it helps drive the bushing in also.

Great tip Ed with the socket. I've also used a 1 1/4" iron pipe nipple with a 1 1/4" iron pipe cap screwed onto one end to substitute for the socket. This size will fit nicely over the rubber and transfer the hammer force directly to the metal sleeve of the bushing.
