NOS/GM Service 1962 bumper???

How can I tell if a bumper is really a NOS or GM service bumper or something else? I have what I believe to be a NOS LH bumper, still in a GM box (with the dealers order info on the label), but I can't see any numbers on the actual bumper.

The bumper looks great but the only thing that I noticed was that the inner area where the grill bar connects, the open area that looks like > appeared to be a little longer (more towards the front) than the original bumpers on my car.

Thoughts?

Tony,

No numbers were stamped on the bumpers. It sounds like it may be a 58-60 bumper. The grille teeth of 58-60 protruded further than the 61-62 grille, so this measurement will be different between the 2 year groups. See the pics below for reference.

Thank you very much. Your pictures are very helpful. I made the measurement and yes it definitely appears to be a 1958-1960 bumper given those measurements. Just weird that it was in a 61/62 box.
